Third Quarter 2022: More of the Same

Sourced from over a trillion traffic logs ingested from a dozen client sites and associated with thousands of devices around the globe, the third Quarter Summary report is a follow-on report, underscoring the direction taken in the prior quarters.

We have seen an uptick in activity across all three of the major tracked sectors. Malware activity is up 28% botnet and exploit activity are also each up over 100% when compared to last year. What this clearly tells us is that cyberattacks and cybercrime are not slowing down. One positive to keep in mind is that threat actors are generally opportunistic.
